LOCKDOWN LOOK UP

Freshly presented Top Of The Genre Fusion Pops. Lockdown Weekend 2.

1/3 MIRI is a musical activist, singer, composer, promotor and panel curator. Most recently live streaming for grassroots music venues (with Frank Turner and friends), MIRI was also a total tonic at the #BalconyOnLineFest for Musicians Against Homelessness, recently, reminding of her strong and raspy-fairy vocals on the Loud Women Stage.

2/3 – RtN – The demos have dropped.

Our Independent Venue Week star turn at the #FuturePicks launch – RtN has just dropped DIY-altpop demos, another strong voice with so much more going on (peek into the interview with Louise Schofield TV). ‘Time’ is especially rousing.

I am RtN, and I Make Music.

3/3 – Beija Flo. Gonna go back to #BalconyOnlineFest because, frankly it was a great way to watch personal performances together with friends old and new. Hats off to the Sonic Tonic stage for such wonderful entertainment that one of our creative talent aces, Sandy K. Moz, tweeted “who is that band currently playing because I think I’m in love with her haha” during the performance!

People are worried that TV stations will run out of content due to the Lockdown Days, they could raise their game with audiovisual sensations like Beija Flo!

You actually have time to investigate just three new talents a week. Surely?

Did you check out Lockdown Week 1Felixity, Billy Nomates, Jean Genie’s Massive Hugs – for your radar. Positive activity and feedback happening for all three…

psst next #BalconyOnlineFest happens 11th April. Be involved via the FB Event (for NHS Charities Together)

Fresh facets of musical voices and minds, tunes and beats that landed in surreal times. Where “News” has stopped making sense, music is still the truth.

DIY (ANTI BACTERIAL /VIRAL) SPRAY

This is 100% natural AND effective. “Much nicer for your skin than alcohol based, chemical filled gel” says Maxi McNaughty – who has been a big hit with massages and advice, at events that TheZineUK has been involved with (including No.3 Expo and The Deptford Mix Up, Summer 2019).

A growing reputation includes feedback from some of TheZineUK’s fave musical artists, part of our story.

‘…AND THEN THE RAIN STOPPED’ BIRTHMARKS

Since the Ides Of March, Planet Lockdown rebrands a diseased, dis-eased Earth. We need our escapisms from harsh reality. This album is a necessity.

“All Cool’s Day” was to have been a live launch for the credible and incredible debut album  ‘…And Then The Rain Stopped’ – Delayed gratification sensation awaits.

The post Brexit days have seen the threads of our tapestry weave into a bigger story beyond belief. Our friends have the epic talent to soundtrack this movie in which we are involuntary extras.

Available now – on all sussed platforms.

Available now – on all sussed platforms.

2020 vision includes LPs from Bugeye, MOSES, Nova Twins, EOB, False Heads and Birthmarks – some of Earth’s brightest musical hopes with their globally expansive audio visions. …That’s just some of my OWN personal thrills. Imagine how wide this spectrum is, with my variety show of friends who are “living the stream”.

Together with his Birthmarks bandmates,  Jason Fletcher and Jonno LloydDaniel Cross is one of TheZineUK documentary’s golden threads.

Gracing our No.3 Expo a few years ago with a live set declared by an industry insider as “better than NIN”, ArtBeat woven with the “Pulse 1” Eugene Ankomah collaboration. A glimpse into the creative potential that brings ‘One Pulse’. Take five minutes of *You Time* for this video;

Developing against the dramatic backdrop of Year 2019 – between sessions, creating and performing – this LP is impressive as fuck, I am compelled to report.

As our Rock n Roll superman, John Clay, articulates (when creating the stripped down version of ‘Wax’ for Clark Kent’s Rock And Roll Revue/Margo’s Living Room); “Lovely to hear a loud band that can appreciate the power of the quiet moment.”

Fused multiple influences but, with this album, an instant influence themselves (trust), the expansive pop melodies, raw rock force and sex-alien beats of Birthmarks crash to shore in waves of mighty sonic ebb and flow.

Their Star Ship has landed on our futuristic Planet Earth’s dystopian present – with presence. One of Asteroid-Rock’s most extraordinary statements of intent., ‘…And Then The Rain Stopped’ is brutally and beautifully brilliant. 11/10.
