Breathe in deeply, exhale fully, close your eyes and listen again. 'Oh How' by Lara Smiles is a calming, cleansing spirit of a mantra. Beautiful.
Craft D - 'A Letter To Corbyn'
A young wordsmith dared to stand up. Haters gonna hate, but lovers gonna love, too so 'Letter To Corbyn' topped the iTunes hip hop/r n b charts. For the many.
Babe Club - 'Future Talks'
TheZineUK recently featured pop's absolute babes, tints of an alien race from outer space with a little St Etienne in their groove. 'Future Talks' is taken from their impressive debut EP ‘Remember This Feeling’.
Tiger Mimic - ‘King Of Machines’
King Of Machines is the sound of The Haunted Satsuma leaving the building, hopefully ameriKKKa can rebuild as the United States of America. The glam rock break on this tune soundtracks his bye bye, with panache.
Asylums - ‘The Difference Between Left And Right’ (live in session)
Taken from one of 2020’s rock albums of the year, ‘Genetic Cabaret’, this latest single rips the sound barrier with defiant intent. If you’re missing live gigs watching this video is a lift me up.

Just so darn ear bending with vocal instrumentation and beats fused into the dream sequence of sounds.
The Dead Freights - Stray Dogs
Really got into The Dead Freights at This Feeling Big In 2020. Jean Genie and I exchanged a knowing glance of YES, this band. January feels so innocent now, eh? Toweresque newer wave sounds with attitutude.
The Pagans S.O.H. - ‘Pagans Are Alive’
The band’s biggest slice of rock released so far, is essentially well tuned madness with big riffs of freakery. YES, very alive.
Genn - ‘23rd March’
Dominative hot sauce rocking goodness. Socially distanced show at Brixton Windmill on 12th December and an EP - ‘Liminal’ - for Spring 2021!
The Institutes - ‘All That You’ll Ever Know’
Expansive, 90s tinted alt-rock, complete with plaintive soars which are designed to earworm.
She’s Got Spies — All Outta Tears
Broody pop noir of the finest texture to soundtrack the cinematic video made in Moscow.
Vincent Bugozi - ‘Filipa’
Suddenly the sun shines again from one of the happiest sounds this winter. An absolute pleasure of the Benumu Stage of Balcony Festival, this new single is energetically soca beat pop complete with a sexy saxy saucy break. Sounds like the video for ‘Fillipa’ should be made on a carnival float in the future!
Liines - ‘Sorry’
Powerful as feck rhythms from a driving, startling rhythm’d audible force. Caught them live a couple of times. It will happen again.
Royston Club - ‘Mrs Narcisstic’
Jaunty clean lined Britpop to flutter young hearts into sing along joy. No wonder their 2021 tickets are being snapped up so quickly!
Apple Shakers - 'Change You'
Clear and present alternative pop goodness with a tint of heyday Police.
