Glamstars in the USA is #StageStyle 2024.
It’s been another HUGE year in the ZineUK, more friends and icons have been woven into the ever growing tapestry and - last month - a fashion thread began of The ZineUK x Los Angeles.
Old timers and vintage #Zeenagers will remember our #Stagestyle series - our collab with stylist Ben Dodd led to iconic Rhiannon the Nightmare adventures and Waterloo Sunsets with punktastic Charles of London garbs. (God how I miss CofL…) A worthy successor to the rock n roll dressage however, is my LA host and SoulSister Amé Ladik’s Glam Star Apparel.
Amé Ladik is a talented multidisciplinary artist - keen-eyed Zeenagers may find some of her pop cultural cut ups and paintings online - and in true Tiny Dancer fashion, she was the LA lady who was seamstress for Barb Wire Dolls, another band you’ll find us having hyped up on these pages before.
Glam Star is borne of a cut-up technique with material. A spelltastic mixture of vintage finds and pop culture iconography, and mostly, it just looks really fucking cool.
All this to say - when Glam Star relaunches on a magickal January 23rd, #Zeenagers will be scrambling on to the site to get their custom orders in, so you’ll want to be quick on this.
…And who knows, you might see some of our TopTipped Future Picks wearing some Glam Star on these pages soon.
