Fresh to the public in 2020, Manchester’s new indie hopes released two downloads in lockdown which won attention, fan support (and a sing along of a gig!) from the nation’s top Indie/Rock club, This Feeling.

TF were onto the band early doors, featuring the meloncholic and winsome harmonies of ‘NEVERDIE’ (in Spring) and the swaggering ‘HEAD IN THE CLOUDS’ (in Autumn).

Both are huge songs with the potential to mean so much to a whole new generation of guitar fans. Despite no plugging, hype (or being able to tour because “2020”) it’s obvious that people are appreciating their musicality and just excited ‘cos they’re ace.

Also, at time of writing, SHADE have surpassed 125,000 streams on their Spotify page.

The band have just announced their third single - ‘Jump Into Heaven’.

Produced by Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studios, it will be available to download and stream via Fear Records on 26th March.

It’s never easy for a new band to make their mark, and Manchester is a city with so many iconic names in it’s musical heritage already.

SHADE have something audibly “main-stage” and familiar in their DNA while emerging in the vanguard of this decade’s new sounds.

They’ve a way with an uplifting tune to sing along to and a driving rhythm to break out your best moves.

One of TheZineUK doc’s #FuturePicks in September, SHADE remain busy and have more news to unfold around ‘Jump Into Heaven’s release. This feels like the start of something next level - and that’s before they can even play live again!
