Set to showcase the best new female talent rising up from the grassroots and alternative music scene, the first announced are:

So much sparkling around these names, already, LA teen punk siblings, 90s Britpop chart bands, futuristic pop, your favourite alt-rock genre clash fusion - at an all ages event! Rich Mix is a short walk from Shoreditch Station (East End, Inner London). LOADS of buses! Some of these artists are already woven into TheZineUK documentary - the Fertile Environment is getting more potent!

LOUD WOMEN Fest has grown year on year, to become the largest female-led festival in the UK, attracting performers and attendees from around the world, and securing LOUD WOMEN’s position as the leading international showcase for female and non-binary alternative bands and artists in the grassroots/DIY music scene.

Every year attention gets bigger for Loud Women Fest and for 2023 they received around a thousand applications! This year’s event has even more international artists. It’s also an all ages event so that children can be inspired by all the awesome women on stage.
The not-for-profit LOUD WOMEN Fest is firmly established as the alternative music women’s “pipeline” between grassroots and bigger festival stages. “the antidote to male-heavy festival lineups” (NME). Past LOUD WOMEN alumnus include Grace Petrie, Nova Twins, Dream Nails, Skinny Girl Diet, Lillith Ai, Petrol Girls and Pleasure Venom (US).
With activism and campaigning at LOUD WOMEN’s heart alongside the music, the Fest will also be attended by speakers: Safe Gigs for Women, Bloody Good Period, Janey Starling – Level Up, Alliance for Choice (Northern Ireland), Janine Booth
About LOUD WOMEN:
Founded in 2015 by Cassie Fox, the not-for-profit organisation is based in London with chapters in the US, Canada, Ireland, Spain and Australia. LOUD WOMEN’s stated aim; to “put more women on more stages, and turn up the volume”.
“There’s absolutely no excuse in 2023 for festivals not to be booking at least 50% female musicians. Gender equality makes all areas of life more balanced and harmonious – especially in music!”
