‘Knees Up Amongst The Ruins’ 2026 album by NCP

The Story So Far

In November 2025, the song 'Imaginary Borders' giften avant cinematica to our bleak times from freshly formed fab force, NEW COMMERCIAL PRODUCT. NCP - Finn Kidd, Toby Kidd (Hatcham Social) and friends. The Kidds are alright. They’ve also founded an empathetic artist community and anti-war/colonialism label, Crocodile Collective.

A surreal, poetic EP launch rounded off the year, (attended by Arran of Shattercones, The Outers, Kevin Blue and more). It felt like the cast of an Andy Warhol attic (Crocodile Collective) time travelled to Farsight Art Gallery in Soho. ArtBeat personified. Artfully personalised. Yeah, TheZineUK got a blip clip on TikTok. This is a documentary of MOVEments.

"They try to make us fight each other, but we are stronger together"
(Crocodile Collective)

A passion rhythmically rooted in experimental releases, collective agency, ursula k. le guin, underground culture, alt pop twists and supporting/connecting the DIY, independent music community. Taping us together. With cassettes!

The mainstream music industry and tech overlords create short artist lifespans. TheZineUK documents situationist weaving so were MEANT to relate.

TheZineUK Events Dept. met artist brothers at the Rocklands screening during London Short Film Festival January 2025, via Scared To Dance. All part of a movement that is still influencing.

NCP played their first show for Fierce Panda Records around that time, too as well as there being an Events Dept. show at The Waiting Room with forthcoming platform, Playhuman, creating projections.

Grassroots Music Venues and DIY Event Promotions for artists and audiences to connect and mutually support each other. Let’s stop nights like this from disappearing tomorrow. Community. Thursday 15th October.

Like Crocodile Collective ArtfulFest CREATES

Beyond music industry to the stronger ethos of interdependence. The uniqulture of equitable access works for TheZineUK situationist magical weaving. Crocodile Collective helps musicians by building mutual infrastructure.

Each artist puts resources into a community pot helping the whole network of musicians grow together. From playing in each others bands, to mutual aid with staging events. The idea is simple: many hands make light work.  By the end of this updating ArtfulFest calendar, things will have changed from such actions - and from this evening’s music social, also.

On the decks this evening, Jolt! This was a magnetic performance.

Weaving in 2026! TikTok blip: TheZineUK Events Dept. stall at Tim Burgess’s Merch Market. Toby & Finn with The Outers and Feral Five. Not in shot, Mick Jones of The Clash (we were next to the Strummerville stall). Ha ha, TheZineUK, always dreaming of musical magical moments. But some DO happen.

Crocodile Collective are a template worth documenting.

This Summer, this evening’s DJs were absolutely on the beat: JOLT (think PJ Harvey fronting The Beta Band) and NCP (kilter-pop mavericks)released outstanding debut albums that are being embraced by sussed media as they get heard.

'Biting My Own Teeth'

Looped lo-fi rock of the commanding kind earned loud appreciation at Art Stud Club on an evening of joyous roars ringing in the air for the world cup as well as Jolt. TheZineUK TikTok said: 'Concentrate' on Joanna Curwood and what the uniqulture flavoured Crocodile Collectibve are seeding”. Drums: Finn Kidd

Ain't No Party like a Crocodile Party!

The Waiting Room will be like an underground (well, it is! - a grassroots venue circuit fave) music lover’s get together with entertainment, ideas, connecting and whatever you want to make of it. Artfully.

“Every day we are waking up with the feeling that this is all too much, that it can't be true that we share the world with such evil and disregard for others. But we do. And the powers are just trying to silence voices that have moral feelings.

The brutality of certain people in power and hatred of others seems unimaginable, they make daily actions based on subjugation, asset and value stripping, both mass dehumanising, and ecologically unsound. For nothing more than ownership and ego.

People are pushed into hatred and to fight amongst themselves for small, unimportant differences so these people can get on with destroying everything in the name of whatever bullshit they decide.

Imaginary Borders

We have tried to process this by making this song.

Something that reflects our feelings of horror for the way the world is divided up with arbitrary lines which cause unimaginable amounts of suffering in many disparate ways all over the world.

No imaginary borders in N16 on Day 15.

See You Later, Alligator…
